Here’s a crochet butterfly that is sweet and simple to make. This DIY crochet butterfly motif works great on a hat, scarf, shawl, headband, purse, handbag and more. You can make the butterflies in one color, or 2-3 colors.
First, you crochet a lacy circle with 8 petals on it in the round. Next, fold it in half to form the butterfly shape. Finally, add a chain or chenille stick (used to be called pipe cleaners) to the center.
And voila! You’ll have an adorable butterfly decoration you can attach to a hat, scarf, blanket, handbag and more. You can hot glue a magnet onto the back and use them as a door or refrigerator decoration.
