How to Crochet the Diamond Granny Stitch Crochet Pattern
The diamond granny stitch uses an easy double crochet pattern and turns it into diamonds by carrying yarn and making color changes.
About Diamond Granny Stitch Crochet
Anyone who has crocheted for any length of time is very familiar with making a traditional granny square. Basically the pattern consists of a series of 3 double crochet stitches with a chain or two in between.
You can also crochet a granny-square type of stitch pattern in a row. With this tighter version of the stitch, we keep the 3 double crochet stitches, but eliminate the chains in between.
The granny stitch is a nice stitch pattern. But when you rev it up with some color changes, you can make all sorts of designs and patterns with it. In this case I’m making little diamonds in the work.
As always, I have a tutorial video to help out with this pattern. You can find it here!
