How to Tunisian Crochet Chain Stitch Pattern
This Tunisian Crochet Chain Stitch pattern is simple to make and produces a lovely soft look for clothing, blankets, and accessories.
About the Tunisian Chain Stitch Pattern
I love Tunisian Crochet. It produces such a nice soft drape to whatever you are making. I think it especially looks nice in clothing and accessories.
One of the downsides of Tunisian Crochet is that the stitches are smaller and very often it takes more time to make each stitch, as compared to regular crochet. Here’s where this Tunisian Chain Stitch Pattern comes into play.
With this stitch pattern, you are making vertical chain stitches. If you know how to chain, these stitches work up very quickly. So you get the softness of Tunisian crochet, with the speed of traditional crochet stitches.
I’m using worsted weight yarn (a number 4 on the label) along with a 5 mm H size Tunisian crochet hook. With Tunisian crochet, they do make all sorts of sizes, including smaller ones for scarves, and larger extended ones for blankets.
I hope you enjoy this one, as it’s one of my favorites to work with! Take care, Donna Wolfe from Naztazia
