How to Crochet the Textured Box Stitch and Modern Waffle Stitch
The crochet textured box stitch looks like a modern waffle stitch. It’s an easy and fast pattern for blankets, scarves, and more.
About This Pattern
The crochet textured box stitch written pattern and video tutorial shows how to make this modern waffle stitch. You can use this block stitch pattern for blankets and scarves especially. For my sample I’m using 100% worsted weight acrylic yarn along with a size H 5 mm crochet hook. As always you can substitute with whatever yarn or thread you prefer along with its suggested crochet hook.
For this stitch pattern, the 3D blocks consist primarily of single crochet and double crochet stitches. There is a front post double crochet stitch also in there to create those nice raised columns. It’s a two-row pattern that’s super easy to remember.
As always I have a step-by-step tutorial video to help you along with this pattern. I hope you enjoy! Donna Wolfe from Naztazia.
