How to Crochet a Basic Shell Stitch
Here’s a crochet pattern that produces a lace effect. It’s a relatively basic stitch that works nice for a blanket, scarf, shawl, and more. There is a nice lace effect formed by V stitches on one row, with the fans above on the next row.
Stitches used in this stitch pattern include the chain and double crochet. You can use any size yarn and hook you wish for this pattern. It’s always best to first choose a yarn that you like for your project. Then, see what the label of the yarn suggests for a hook size.
