How to Crochet the 3D Granny Stitch Pattern
The 3D Granny Stitch Pattern creates a nice textured look. The embossed granny stitches look nice for a blanket, scarf, shawl, and more.
About This Pattern
This 3D crochet granny stitch written pattern and video tutorial shows how to make this nice textured and embossed stitch pattern. You can use this for blankets, scarves, shawls, and other clothing items. For my sample I’m using 100% acrylic worsted weight yarn and a size H 5 mm crochet hook. Feel free to use whatever fiber and weight yarn you wish along with its corresponding crochet hook.
For this stitch pattern, we’re using the typical set of 3 double crochet stitches that you find in most granny stitch patterns. However, we’re going to spice this one up a bit with a back post single crochet (BPSC) stitch, followed by a chain 2. This creates the nice 3D look to your work.
The step-by-step tutorial video will help you with making the BPSC as well as other little tips and tricks for this stitch pattern. Enjoy! Donna Wolfe from Naztazia.
