About this Book
I received a copy of this book to review by David & Charles, a well-known publishing company of many types of books, including those of the fiber arts. The first thing that caught my eye was the gorgeous cover photo – both the front and back! The flowers are absolutely magnificent, colorful, and so neatly crocheted and displayed.
In this book you’ll find 100 patterns for flowers and other nature-inspired garden items. The vast majority of the flowers are relatively flat, so you can easily sew or glue them onto items. Everything that I’ve seen can be used as embellishments to hats, scarves, shawls, handbags and more. Also, Chris has the flowers laid out for display in the chapters in a wreath-shaped format, or in a vase. I can see crocheting these beautiful leaves and flowers then attaching them to a canvas or inside a picture frame for display.

I always love reading the biographies of the authors. It turns out that Chris was a teacher for several years! This makes perfect sense because the book is so well organized and educational.
