How to Crochet an Easy Bow
This crochet easy bow pattern is simple and works up fast. This is a nice embellishment to put on your crochet items.
About the Crochet Easy Bow Pattern
I love crochet flowers, as evident by the bazillion patterns and videos I have for making them. Sometimes you want something a little different than a flower to serve as an embellishment. That’s where these cute crochet bows come in!
A crochet bow can look like a regular ribbon bow, except it’s made out of yarn of course. These can be added to a hair tie to use in your hair. You can also add this bow to a hat, scarf, shawl, bag, and more.
The pattern is pretty simple for all levels of those who crochet. It’s great for a beginner since the stitches consist of chains and single crochet stitches. There are two pieces to this bow – a top loop section and a bottom tapered section. They are simple to make and connect together.
Yarn and Supplies
For my sample I’m using Hobby Lobby’s I Love This Yarn, which is a 100% acrylic, worsted weight yarn. This produces a bow that’s about 5 inches wide. If you prefer a smaller bow, you can use this same pattern along with a DK weight yarn and a smaller hook. This should bring the bow down to a 4 inch width. Thinner yarn can make smaller bows, while thicker yarn makes larger bows.
