About this Crochet Edging

Sometimes you want to crochet a blanket, but you know it’s going to take quite some time. And then someone has a baby and you know you need to crochet a baby blanket, but time is a problem again.

So here’s the solution – use fleece fabric and crochet a nice edging around the blanket!

This shell stitch border edging is what I would call a neutral stitch pattern. It can go on anything from cute little baby print fleece to someone’s favorite licensed sports team fleece. And it looks good in solid colors, ombre, variegated, stripes, and more.

I found this fleece in the fabric section of Walmart – it was pre-cut and pre-wrapped already. And 1.5 yards of it is perfect for my sample blanket.
