How to Crochet the Extended Ripple Stitch Pattern
The Crochet Extended Ripple Stitch Pattern is a nice alternative to the traditional chevron and zigzag designs. Use for a blanket and more!
About This Pattern
I think it’s safe to say most of us who crochet are fascinated by ripple stitches. These ripple stitch pattern designs are sometimes known as chevrons as well as zigzags. One of my first large projects as a youngster was a crochet ripple stitch blanket. If you’ve ever made chevron and zigzag stitches before, you know how challenging they can be with counting and skipping stitches.
This alternative to a traditional crochet ripple stitch pattern creates a lovely design by using extended single crochet stitches. And the pattern repeat is very simple! Sometimes these stitches are also known as crochet spike stitches as well as long single crochet stitches. Whatever you want to call them – they create a lovely design in your work!
As always I have a step-by-step tutorial video for how to do this stitch pattern. Enjoy! Donna Wolfe from Naztazia.
