How to Crochet Easy Flower Earrings

It is easy to crochet flower earrings with some lightweight yarn or crochet thread. They are cute, quick, and fun to make!

Sometimes you want to make a gift for someone (or yourself), and you don’t want it to take forever. Smaller projects like these crochet flower earrings are perfect for that. You can make them in any color and use any metal wire findings, such as gold, silver, brass, or antiqued.

Materials Used

These days, it’s not always easy to find “the right yarn or thread” for a project. You have several options for these earrings. I’m using Yarn Art’s Begonia. You can find it on Amazon here in same-color 5-packs (affiliate link): https://amzn.to/3eg6PdW or they have a substantial 20-skein variety pack here (affiliate link): https://amzn.to/3xJfuNq

If you do not have access to that, you can use embroidery floss. It’s about the same thickness and should work nicely. You can also use a #3 crochet thread instead. They have a ton of that size thread on Amazon too at this (affiliate link): https://amzn.to/3xHkcLQ

I’m using a size C 2.75 mm crochet hook. This size works nicely with the thinner yarn and thread. However, feel free to use a D or E hook if you have trouble with the fiber falling off. If you want your flower smaller, you can always go down to a size B hook too.

You will also need two jump rings. You can find jump rings in the craft section of most stores, especially near the jewelry-making aisles. You’ll also need two earring wires. These too can be found usually in the same area.

Stitches Used

This flower is pretty simple for all levels, including beginners. You’ll need to know how to crochet a chain, single crochet, half double crochet, double crochet, and slip stitch. The pattern is easy to remember, as all petals follow the same format.
