About This Pattern

Crochet granny squares are awesome. There are many ways of connecting them. I like making one large one as a baby blanket. One of the edges I use on my granny square items is this fluted edging border.

Why do I call it a fluted border? Because it reminds me of the fluted edging made along the top of pie crusts. Plus my daughter plays the flute, so it’s a perfect name for it!

This is a two-round pattern consisting of v-stitches on the first round. The second round contains front post double crochet stitches (FPDC) along with regular double crochet stitches (DC). For my sample I’m using 100% acrylic worsted weight yarn along with a size I 5.5 mm crochet hook. Any other size can be used as well.

As always I have a step-by-step tutorial video showing how to make this pattern. I hope you enjoy! Donna Wolfe from Naztazia.
