How to Crochet a Crochet Hook Holder
This crochet hook holder works up fast and easy over an icing container. You can store any size crochet hooks, needles, scissors, and more.
About this Pattern
I’m always looking for something to hold my crochet hooks. I have fancy crochet hook cases and such, but the case is never around when I need it. Plus, I like to have my hooks readily available when I’m working on a project.
Let me introduce this crochet hook solution to you then! This crochet case keeps your crochet hooks neat and tidy. Plus the inside section adjusts, so you can insert any size hook into it. You can use regular crochet hooks, steel crochet hooks, or ergonomic crochet hooks. Basically no matter what size your hook handle is, this container will adjust around it.
Additionally, you can attach your stitch markers along the edge as well as the yarn needles. This way, when you are on the couch or your favorite chair, you’ll have your most important tools handy. Plus this caddy doesn’t take up much room either.
Supplies Needed
For this project, you’ll need an icing container, preferably cleaned out first. Or you can use anything that’s about 3.5″ wide by 3.75″ tall. And once you see the video for this pattern, it’s pretty easy to adjust this pattern to other sizes as well.
I would suggest getting your favorite flavor or scent of frosting. Sometimes the container retains the aroma from the icing. Yummy vanilla-smelling crochet hooks for me anymore!
I’m using worsted weight yarn, specifically Red Heart Super Saver. I’m also using a size G 4 mm crochet hook. Feel free to adjust this yarn and hook size to your liking.
Counting of stitches is not really required in this pattern, so it works great for a beginner. Stitches used are primarily half double crochet and single crochet. As always please check out the tutorial video for this pattern to assist you in making this cute crochet hook caddy!
