About This Pattern

I love crochet ripple stitches. Sometimes traditional chevron blankets can be tricky to do, especially on the ends. With this stitch pattern, shell stitches create the peaks and valleys. And after crocheting a few rows, you’ll find it’s a very easy pattern to remember!

With this pattern, you’ll either make 9 double crochet stitches, separate by a single crochet. Or you’ll make a double crochet nine together stitch, which sounds complicated but is actually pretty easy to do. When you change colors every two, rows, the stitch pattern creates a ripple design, sometimes known as a zig zag design as well as a traditional crochet ripple stitch.

For my sample I’m using 100% acrylic worsted weight yarn along with a size H 5 mm crochet hook. Feel free to adjust your hook and yarn size to your liking. This is one stitch pattern that works great with whatever fiber you choose to use!

As always I have a step-by-step tutorial video showing how to make this stitch pattern. I hope you enjoy! Donna Wolfe from Naztazia
