How to Crochet Spiral Dishcloth for the Kitchen and Bath
This crochet spiral dishcloth looks great in the kitchen and bath. This scrubbie is easy to make using two colors and has a great look to it!
About this Pattern
I love when we can crochet optical illusions in our work. Or really cool visual effects. Spirals are some of my favorite patterns. They almost remind me of old-fashioned lollipops!
This pattern is actually pretty simple if you already know how to crochet a regular double crochet circle. The difference with this is you will be changing colors half way through each round. The counting is very similar to regular double crochet flat-circle rounds (12 dc on the first round, 24 on the next, 36 on the next, 48 on the next, etc.)
However with this spiral pattern, you’ll be dividing up the stitches between two colors. So the first round will have (for example) 6 red double crochet stitches and 6 orange ones. The total is still 12 stitches, but they are divided among the two colors. The second round will have a total of 24 stitches on it, with 12 red ones and 12 orange ones.
Stitch markers become a huge help with this pattern! You can use paperclips, hoop earrings, safety pins, pieces of yarn scraps, bobby pins, and more, to mark your stitches. As always there is a step-by-step video tutorial to help you out with this pattern. Enjoy! Donna Wolfe from Naztazia
