How to Crochet Star Stitch Border Edging
The crochet star stitch border edging is easy to make and looks nice on blankets, scarves, shawls, and other handmade items.
About This Pattern
I love the crochet star stitch, so much so I’ve used it in several patterns. This particular border pattern looks really nice and is easy and quick to make.
With this crochet border, I’m first creating a row of single crochet stitches to help frame the star stitch. If you are unfamiliar with creating a basic border around your blanket and other handmade items, check out my written info and tutorial video for edging options.
The star stitch along each side is made like the regular star stitch pattern. The corners are what’s different in this pattern. In the tutorial video I show how I create corner star stitches to help create either rounded corners or more pointed corners.
And finally, you can add another single crochet row along the top of the star stitches too, to complete the frame. As always I have a tutorial video to help you with this entire pattern. Enjoy! Donna Wolfe from Naztazia.
