How to Crochet the Strawberry Stitch
The crochet strawberry stitch creates a nice 3D textured effect to your blanket, shawl, hat, scarf, handbag, and other handmade items.
About This Pattern
I love strawberries! Back in April 2019 I did a Tunisian crochet strawberry stitch tutorial. Over the past several years I’ve been asked if I could also create a tutorial on this stitch pattern using a regular crochet hook. And so I did!
As you can see, this stitch pattern creates little strawberries in your work. These berries are made with 5 double crochet stitches on one row with red yarn, followed by a single crochet 5 together stitch on the subsequent row in green yarn. It’s a pretty easy pattern to remember once you’ve made a few rows.
For my sample I’m using 100% worsted weight yarn and a size H 5 mm crochet hook. Feel free to adjust the yarn thickness and hook size to your liking. As always there is a step-by-step tutorial video to help you out with this pattern. Enjoy! Donna Wolfe from Naztazia.
