24 Crochet Hats Book Review
24 Crochet Hats is a new book by Kristin Omdahl. She is an incredible designer who has written over 20 crochet and knitting books. Kristin also produces many educational videos for TV and YouTube. You have probably seen several videos from me featuring her work.
About 24 Crochet Hats
In this latest book from Kristin, she has written crochet patterns for 24 amazing and unique hats. One of the best features of her book is the all-inclusive sizing for men, women, children, babies, and more. This book is a beautiful go-to resource when you need to make a gift for someone.
Beck Hat Pattern
I fell in love with this book as soon as I saw the Beck hat pattern. If you’ve seen my work, you know I love color and lots of it. I’m not happy unless I’m changing colors every two rows or so. Kristin made her Beck hat in multiple colors, which is why it is so attractive. Kristin has the Beck pattern available by itself at this link.
However, for some reason, I wanted to try something different. I made my hat all in one color! And it still looks great! As you can see in several of the photos on this page, the lace pattern is magnificent. Kristin did a fantastic job with this and all of the other hat patterns in her book.

Final Thoughts
I am thrilled to have received a copy of Kristin’s book. The patterns in it are valuable and unique. You’ll find everything from beginner-level hats to intermediate and advanced hats. You will also find exciting techniques like tapestry crochet and crochet cables. It’s nice to have a single resource that contains lightweight hats, heavier hats, and messy bun hats. The charts, diagrams, photos, and written instructions are incredibly beneficial. I highly recommend this book!
