How to Crochet the Strawberry Stitch – Tunisian Version
How cute is this stitch? This fun strawberry stitch is made with red and green yarn along with a Tunisian crochet hook. You can use this berry pattern for bags, dishcloths, hot pads and more. Anything that requires a 3D texture would look great with these strawberries!
You will primarily use Tunisian crochet stitches such as the TSS Tunisian Simple Stitch as well as the TKS Tunisian Knit Stitch to make these berries.
Also if you prefer to do this stitch pattern with a regular crochet hook, I have a written pattern and tutorial video for that too! You can find that newer stitch video here.

Supplies
Supplies
- Worsted Weight Yarn
I’m using Red Heart’s Super Saver in a nice red and green color.
- Size K 6.5 mm Tunisian crochet hook
This particular stitch pattern uses Tunisian crochet, so you will need a Tunisian crochet hook. They are longer than a traditional hook so you can fit many loops onto it. Some manufacturers call them “afghan hooks” as well.
- Yarn needle
A yarn needle will be helpful to weave in ends.
- Scissors
And you’ll need scissors to fasten off your work.
