Crazy Slanted Granny Stitch

Here’s a really nice and easy shell stitch pattern. It’s good for blankets, scarves, shawls, handbags and more. I find this one is easy to remember. Row 2 is repeated throughout the pattern. So once you learn that one (and it’s just double crochet stitches and single crochets) – the stitch pattern works up very quickly.

Here’s a nice flower with petals made with the Tunisian simple stitch. You do not need any special Tunisian or afghan hook – your regular crochet hook will work just fine.
