How to Crochet a Poinsettia Christmas Flower
This crochet poinsettia flower is a cute addition to your Christmas outfit. While we might think of poinsettias as traditionally red, they come in several other colors, including white, pink, and orange.
This Christmas flower can be made as a decoration for your handbag, shawl, coat, scarf, and more. My daughter Sarah and I happen to like them as a hairpiece or a lariat.
Made with small amounts of 100% cotton worsted weight yarn in red and green, these flowers are relatively simple and work up rather quickly. To crochet this flower, you will need to know how to crochet a slip stitch (SLST), chain (CH), SC (single crochet), HDC (half double crochet), and DC (double crochet). It helps to already know how to work on both sides of the starting chain. There is a step-by-step tutorial video showing how to make this poinsettia and leaves.
