About This Book
I received a copy of this book to review by David & Charles, a well-known publishing company of many types of books, including those of the fiber arts. The first thing that caught my eye was the gorgeous cover photo! Those baby and toddler sweaters look so textured, comfy and incredibly beautiful.
The author, Vita Apala, was born in Latvia and currently resides in Italy. She has written over 400 patterns! You can take a look at her beautiful work on several social media sites. You can find Vita on her Mon Petit Violon website. If you are on Facebook, find her on her Mon Petite Violon page. And check out her beautiful photos and videos on her Mon Petite Violon Instagram account.

The sweaters, blankets, bonnets, booties, and more are all beautiful and heirloom quality. I am so thrilled that the author uses a [3] DK weight yarn in just about every pattern! DK weight yarn is light enough for baby outfits, yet still easy to crochet with using a regular sized hook. I love fine crochet thread, but as I get older, my eyes don’t like using it as much. DK weight yarn is perfect!
In the below videos, you’ll see that I reviewed five of the newer books from the publishing company of David & Charles. This book was included in there as one of my favorites!
