You would be surprised how easy this one is to make. It is basically a long rectangle that you wrap around your body and sew in the back.
This works nice for all four seasons. Wear it in the spring and summer with just a light blouse or tank top underneath. And in the fall, autumn, and winter wear wear a long sleeve turtleneck or button down.
This crochet pattern is also easy to remember. It is comprised of double crochet and chain stitches. Plus I show an alternative to the chain 3 that starts most double crochet rows. This makes for a nicer edging!

Supplies
- Gather some worsted weight yarn.
I like Caron Simply Soft for this one. It drapes really nicely on the body. For the small/medium, I’m using about 500 yards.
- Find an H – 5 mm size crochet hook.
As always, you can go up or down with the crochet hook size. If you crochet on the tight side, use an I or J hook. If your stitches are very loose, you might need to move down to a G hook.
- Find a soft tape measure.
It’s important to measure yourself as well as the work.
- Gather other supplies like a yarn needle and scissors.
You’ll need these to weave in ends as well as sew two seams together.
